    Artist History
I was born in 1971 in Sweden. My mother is from Germany, and my father is Swedish. At the age of 14 my mother gave me a single with Bruce Springsteen’s ”Im On Fire”, and after hearing it I began to listen to music in a totally new way. The interest in Springsteen’n music grew rapidly, and within a few years I became a huge collector of Springsteen related albums, bootlegs, and so on. Seeing Bruce live was one of my greatest interest for a good 10 years, and up to this date I have attended 50 Springsteen shows (crazy? well…ok :-)).At the age of 19 I decided to buy a professional keyboard. I went to Gothenburg to find one, but that particular day I could not find the specific model I wanted, so I went home empty-handed. During the week that followed I changed my mind, and when I went to Gothenburg the next Saturday, I was on the lookout for a guitar. An instrument, that I had never played. I found a black Fender Stratocaster, which I bought, and after hard practicing during the months that followed, I finally learned how to play it. Only a few months after that I started writing my own songs. The people that heard my material encouraged me to keep on writing, and so I did. I did not only write music and lyrics though. I was also writing stories for magazines, and for a while I was more focused on becoming an author. I have written two theatre plays and one novel. Writing and playing music did after a while feel like the most important thing in my life, so I am now totally dedicating my life to it.I have on a number of journeys around the world, visited music related companies and people, trying to learn more about the music industry, and also trying to decide what I want to accomplish with my material. One of those journeys took me to Tokyo, Japan and Manila in the Philippines. Asia is a very beautiful continent that has inspired me to many things.I enjoy traveling, but I’m not the ”standard” tourist. On my journeys my senses are wide open, and I gather material for songs everywhere. Whether I have been sitting in a restaurant in New York City, or in a taxi in Nashville, or on a bench in Berlin, I’ve always registered what I’ve seen. And then afterwards I’ve brought out things from my mind, from what I’ve experienced, and some of it has appeared as fragments or verses in songs. I’ve always found it very hard to write stuff ”on the spot”.Upon returning from one of my journey to Asia I invested in a studio. An investment, that opened many doors. I found out that my writing could be widened into many different types of music, and the year of 1998 became the year of learning all the techniques involved behind making a nicely sounding recording.I now have a fully functioning studio that I’m very satisfied with. I write 3-4 songs per week, and I try to record the written material as soon as possible, so that the feeling that is there when you write the song doesn’t get lost in the waiting for the recording.I worked as a glazier for 10 years (since I was 18), but I quit that job, and I’ve been a professional musician since January 1st 2000.Dixi July 7th 2000
