Artist description
You shouldn't go to one of Dawna's performances. At least not if you expect to sit quietly and watch someone sing. No, I'd say you better put on your dancin' shoes and plan to cut loose. Dawna has one of those voices that can make you cry with an emotional ballad, but then turn around and rip off "THE ELVIS MEDLEY," the gritty, growling, rockin' blues tune that is far from just being a cheesy reproduction of an Elvis song. She played the main stage at the famous TOOTSIE'S ORCHID LOUNGE, in downtown Nashville, where she held the audience for hours with her powerful stage presence and a mix of rock and country, original and cover tunes. She recently got her first cut as a songwriter on TRICK PONY'S first album with a song called "CAN'T SAY THAT ON THE RADIO." With her vocal and stage talent, songwriting skills, and a passion for entertaining, Dawna has got what it takes to wake up the country music industry. Press Reviews
"Dawna is a spoiled brat. She one of those "have your cake and eat it too" kinda girls. She thinks that just because she's got a great voice she can sing any style she wants. Well, let me set the record straight. Sure, she can sing like a bird when it comes to modern or traditional country, rock, blues, motown, soul, r&b, pop, americana, folk, and rockabilly, but listen, honey, when it comes to opera and that thrash metal stuff she is absolutely horrid."
