Artist description
Sub-Mission Records is an inactive label I ran several years ago. The first 4 songs make up my favorite release, The Piledriver EP. Originally released as 1000 Red Vinyl 7" records. This recording contained the first release for both Sinkhole (final record released on Dr. Strange) and Kid With Man Head (OneFoot Records). Unfortunatly, KWMH is the only band still rockin' today. If you like KWMH, check out more of thier MP3's at their MP3.com site listed below. You can also get more MP3's from The Oxymorons at their MP3.com site below. The second set of four songs is from the labels second 7" EP. FAQ's Liverbox EP was the follow up to their full length album "Pre-Pay". FAQ started out as a hardcore punk band, after a change of singers, they evolved into the band you hear on this site. The final set of songs here is from Death Squad, and thier first and only vinyl offering "Noise Commands Respect". This EP, like all the others was a limited pressing of 1000 7" EP's. This was also the first vinyl release for Sub-Mission Records. Death Squad never changed their style of music, even through a change in singers and more than 10 years in the MPLS/St. Paul, MN speed metal scene. |

Artist History
The label started as a Public Access TV & Radio show in the mid-80's. The primary focus was punk rock & pro-wrestling.(Now both are mainstream...) In later years it evolved into a computer BBS, Record label, and Internet site. |

Press Reviews
Piledriver EP
Reviews? If my brain serves me correctly, MRR loved it, and Flipside liked it. Of the original 1000 pressed, fewer than 100 remain locked up in my basement. I'm real slow at mailorder these days, but if you want one, they're only $3. e-mail me.
FAQ - Liverbox
Flipside liked this one and MRR hated it. Who cares about reviews, just give it a listen and judge for yourself!
Death Squad - Noise Commands RespectMRR loved it, Flipside Liked it. Heck, Jello Biafra even bought this one. |
