Artist History
The initial core of the band revolved around Guy and Josh, who went through a massive number of guitarists and vocalists before happening across Shawn playing an acoustic set of Barenaked Ladies' songs at a blues jam (out of place, we know) in town. They asked if he would audition, and it was "perfection" (Friend's fans will appreciate that). Slipstreme just recently acquired the guitar skills of Ian Hartung and Tracy Godejohn, both also from Minot. Ian is largely influenced by the '80s, and Tracy is our 70's rock guru. The strange combination of all the different musical tastes have led to a vast array of musical styles within our sets, jumping from Godsmack to BTO to Bare Naked Ladies to ZZ Top all in the same set. |
