Artist History Skender formed in 1998 following a solo release by Perth singer/songwriter/guitarist, Roly Skender. This release, titled Dumwahdoo was seen as something of a departure from his previous efforts with popular Perth/Fremantle rock outfit Circus Murders as experimentation with new electronic forms began to take over.The band quickly earned a reputation as one of the more innovative acts around town, mixing live drums, bass, guitar and vocals with samples from home-burnt CDs and more recently live vision mixing. Despite the experimental nature of the mix, song writing has remained a focal point as the music crosses genres. Their much anticipated live audio/visual shows have been a major success and with a full length CD release due out in December 2000, you can expect to be hearing and seeing a lot more from Skender.
