Artist description
Panther is a tremendously gifted and powerful saxophonist, composer,and producer who is a native of Chicago . At the tender age of eleven he began pursuing a musical pathway that was inspired by such artists as Earth, Wind & Fire, Kool & The Gang and Grover Washington Jr. By the time he graduated from high school, he had received numerous awards for his musical excellence including a scholarship to Texas Southern University in Houston. While attending TSU, Panther began to broaden his horizons and expand upon his talents and abilities. He co-produced an album for the legendary track star Carl Lewis that was released in Japan. Panther relocated to Los Angeles and beganbuilding a reputation for himself, appearing in videos with R&B hitmakers Tony! Toni! Tone! He also recorded with Doug E. Fresh and performed with Sean "Puffy"Combs, Chaka Khan, Ray Parker Jr., Cheryl Lynn, Della Reese, Taj Mahal, Ndugu Chancler and shared the stage with Al Jarreau, Oleta Adams, Kenny G, Freda Payne, Helen Baylor, comedian George Wallace, Neal Donald Walsh (Conversations With God) and Les Brown (The Motivator). Panther has also performed in such countries as Japan, France, Italy, and the United Kingdom and has released his first CD "On The Prowl" (a fusion of funky grooves with a smooth melodic flavor) on his own record label Miġn Records. Panther has recently appeared in FB Productions nationally televised tribute to Martin Luther King Jr. and has written the theme song for the nationally syndicated radio broadcast Radioscope. Panther is currently working on his new gospel album and can be seen to pleasing audiences all over the nation with his live performances. |
