Artist description
San Antonio, Texas is not known among the nation for it's large musical groups or the outpouring of talent. It is a city that remains quiet and unnoticed in the music industry and this situation makes it difficult for any San Antonio band to gain respect and interest in the eyes of the masses. Only a few groups in the city have been able to break out of the fold and be respected and noticed by industry leaders and musicians. MyEye has risen above other groups as one of the most inventive, creative, and talented bands in the area and has built a list of achievements that can not go unnoticed. |

Artist History
Joe Massie (Vocals and Guitar) and Alan Budraitis (Drums) met in school and decided to form a band together in the middle of 1999. Their first attempt failed but they decided to not get discouraged and try again. Mario Galdos (Bass) who knew Alan from school was invited to play for the new group and this time they had success. The chemistry was finally there and in three weeks they played their first show.
People became very interested in the band and in a few months the band was drawing over one hundred people to their shows. Demand for their music quickly became huge. Knowing that an album was needed, the band recorded their first self-titled album and released it in the early part of 2000.
While the album did well, the guys from MyEye felt like they had to step it up a notch and expand their capabilities as a band. They decided to recruit a new guitar player to free Joe up on vocals. What could have been a long search lasted two days. While in a guitar store Mario decided to post an add for a new band member and the next day Daniel Stanush called. After a quick audition he was in and they began writing new material. A two-song demo was recorded latter that year and was entitled "Have you heard?" The demo was played and requested on 99.5 KISS (San Antonio), 90.1 KYSM (San Antonio), and 101.5 X (Austin).
The group soon caught the attention of a couple promoters in San Antonio and in 2000 and 2001 the group opened up for Drowning Pool, Kittie, Mudvayne, Factory 81, Cowboy Mouth, Color, and Nonpoint. They were also invited to play at the Pecan Festival in Austin, Texas for 2001. Their new highly anticipated album entitled "Circo" is also now being played and requested across several radio stations in Texas and has received great reviews. |
