Artist History
The group originally started in 1993 as a community outreach program at ORU [Tulsa, OK]. Originally "Sons of Thunder," membership changed over the years, eventually bringing the name change, Mass Reality. Several current members were invovled dating back to 1994. At that time, the 40-membered MR sought to reach out to the Tulsa urban community, rapping at homeless shelters and citypark concerts. After four years of local community service, the group decided to move forward with the music. In '97, MR peacefully stepped down from the university program and officially became an independent hip hop group. The rest is history. |
