Artist description
Former Arista recording artists with a primarily instrumental blend of classical, rock and orchestral impressionism. Being a relative late-comer in the prog rock theatre and helping define its golden years, HTM have more of a jazz component than many of their counterparts with Frank Wyatt's sax. Kit Watkins continues to produce new product, following an LP with English prog outfit "Camel," adding the new age element while Stan Whitaker (formerly with "Ten Jinn") rocks with guitar and the sometimes bluesy vocal. Completing the package is David Rosenthal's flawless Berklee keyboard technique fresh from his road gig with Billy Joel and others, Rick Kennell's punctuating bass lines and Ron Riddle's powerful drums (also with Stu Hamm) and composition (with Cars' keyboardist Greg Hawkes). Finally, the symphony discovers electricity! FAQs: "Is common time 5/4 now?," and "What instrument is that really?" |
