Artist description
This is the solo effort of Idris Jala, more aptly described as a "hobbyist muso". Idris works for an oil and gas company and plays music as a past-time beside his real passion - sports fishing and angling. All songs, music and recording were done by Idris at home on a Fostex portable 4 track studio. The songs were mixed on a hot monsoon night at Eastern Recording Studio, Colombo 5, Sri Lanka by Daya Perera and assisted by Nihal De Silva in terms of moral support. |

Additional Info
Thanks to Blues Gang for "Malaya Blues" and inspiration, Leon and also Hamed Samad for collaboration. Dedicated to Ngan, Leon, Max, and friends in Colombo. Idris highly recommend "Universal Blues Band" - clearly the most promising blues band to emerge in year 2000. Check them out on on http://www.ublues.com. Idris predicts that given exposure, Trevor, the young lead guitarist and vocalist in Universal Blues Band could become an icon to emerge from the Asian blues scene. Watch out for a future collaboration between Trevor, Idris and Leon. |
