    Artist description
The Gerard Edery Ensemble with its unique fusion of flamenco/classical and folk guitar styles, virtuoso oud playing, worldbeat percussion, pulsating vocals, violins, flutes and bass, have brought their multicultural programs to major concert halls and festivals from Taiwan to Tanglewood, Mexico to Morocco and Spain, and the Library of Congress to Lincoln Center. They explore the rich complex of varied musical traditions bequeathed to us by a cosmopolitan Renaissance civilization that reached its peak in the Golden Age of Spain. Commanding songs in some dozen languages, including French, Spanish, Ladino, Hebrew, Arabic and , of course, English, these gifted musicians engage the antique repertoire as a living legacy, combining stylistic authority with an immense creative and recreative flair.
