Artist description
Three friends goofing around in a basement with a rinky-dink studio, playing cello, acoustic guitar and hand drums. We love odd time signatures, big chords, open tunings. We also enjoy dissonant harmonies, but always with an eye toward beauty. Our music has distinct pop and jazz elements as well. Currently all of our work is done without click tracks, midi, synthesizers or quality recording gear. We plan to add better gear over time, and maybe even use some sequenced digital samples for backgrounds. Stay tuned, because we will be uploading better recordings of these songs and other songs as we get them ready. The guitar sounds are all produced by a Taylor 510 with a Martin Goldline pickup. Sometimes I put a mic on the guitar, sometimes I play through a 60w Mesa Boogie tube amplifier. Only this acoustic guitar is used. The cello is recorded with a transducer and a microphone mixed together. All recordings were made using two Tascam 4 track machines, compressors, Lexicon delay, TC Electronics chorus and final mastering with Cool Edit 2000 on my PC. |

Artist History
We play in basements, coffee shops and for parties and for those who enjoy trance music. We've been playing together since 1994, and we just started this year to try to capture our work on tape/cd/mp3. Basically, we are only in it for the fun and sharing--no hopes for fame or fortune. The only reason we have an mp3.com site is because it is the best way to put this stuff up for access by the very few who might actually venture into our page. |
