Artist History The band was formed during the Gemini Reign of Anno Satanas MCMXCVIII by Timophey and Sarquanaar who were concentrating the weep of two guitars into their first born music. As summer leaves started showing their blood, falling to the ground, presence of a basist and a drummer completed the band which was given a name of "More Sorrowful than Night" and was performing a kind of guitar-based Black Metal. Young wolves leave their mother as time passes from their birth, so people do... nothing is eternal - drummer and bassist left the band while sky was mostly covered with grey clouds and trees were standing almost naked. Emptiness filled the line-up since that time and the band founders had to continue their way alone, planting the seeds of their creations till the reign of Empress of Winds and Snows after the death of Anno Satanas MCMXCVIII, as some other sympathizing souls joined the band. Not long was their existance as the band members for they melted as the white pillow of Earth did. Still during their presence musicians started to use keyboards in their music and the band was renamed to "Wings of the Crystal Abyss". The second phase of the band's existance began with the keyboards player Lamia's appearance in the band that time when the ground was draped in black awakening from its slumber. After her coming keyboards started to be used more actively. Another member of the line-up - bass player Asterius came soon after Lion took its throne. During the period when first born snow was singing in the air the band members made the first embodiment of their creations calling it "First Born Snow" making it consist of two home-recorded songs. Simultaniously they decided to shorten the band's name to "Crystal Abyss". Since that time the band started to live its full life mostly making the air of Moscow clubs scatter. In Gemini Reign of Anno Satanas MM Timophey leaves the band due to serious disagreements with some band members. This event was soonly followed with his replacement with Alex, making the band's line up full working again. But circumstances made their work - the work of lightning over lone-standing tree which made Alex cease being the band member. But as the mood of nature became gloomier the situation with the band appeared vice versa and Valafar along with Gniffuts came under tears of skies to contribute to the band's art.
