Press Reviews
Ex-Dark Carnival ringleader Vein has hatched a fairly hypnotic, frightening stew of what can only be called "brood music."As it is, stuff like this can come off as pretentious or just plain silly, but Vein stays the course and the music remains unflinchinly serious. The playing and production is solid and the (overly) anglo-ized vocals suggest the mutant son of Peter Perret and Elvira, while dark offerings like "Underworld, and 1000 Reptiles" would be perfect for the film adaptations of Interview with the Vampire, Drugstore Cowboy II, or your next grave robbing soiree. |
