Artist History
For four years now the Mid-Ohio Valley has been the musical stomping grounds of the band known as The Swinging Orangutangs. This highly evolved gang of five musicians plays an atypical blend of music drawn from the sounds of the last 40 years, including rock, folk, Celtic, jazz, blues, and country. Increasingly the band is drawing from its well of original music when playing live shows. In between gigs, The Swinging Orangutangs have spent much of the last year holed-up on a farm near Whipple, Ohio working on the material for their debut CD, “Mood Swings.” “Mood Swings” was recorded and mixed at Supertracks in Parkersburg, West Virginia, and mastered at GKS Entertainment in Hollywood, California.
