Artist History
While continually fighting the urge to smash the radio every time it was turned on, guitarist Brandon Irons set to form a band that would combine the musical inspirations that have haunted him since childhood: Rockabilly, Blues and Punk. Irons met singer Eric Gothold with a look and sound that brought with him the power of a plantation echo. The unstable third member Scott Debauche was brought in to fill the thunder. Drummer Clayton Scott out of his basement of pretties was chosen to lay down a dead-on style of drumming needed for the farm. The band has recently opened for notables such as The Paladins, Russel Scott & His Red Hots, Big Sandy & His Fly-Rite Boys, Ray Condo, 13 Cats and The Hyperions. The group will be performing a Mid West summer 2000 tour, details to follow. You can be sure that the Farmers will be in your town soon. Movie News!! The Graveyard Farmers can be heard on an upcoming Blockbuster Movie Video release titled "Liars Poker" starring Flea of the Red Hot Chilli Peppers. The video will be at Blockbuster on May 2, 2000. Listen for the song Texas Size! |

Press Reviews
Hollywood psychobillies, the Graveyard Farmers, pull out all the stops that this genre has to offer and do it well, especially on the opener, the macabre and over the top "Formaldehyde." It's that combo of clever lyrics and big-beat surf-twang that the Cramps patented years ago, but the Farmersshow themselves to be a more versatile outfit that that association would suggest. "Gimme Some Lovin," for instance, shows solid chops in a more traditional roots mode. Extremely alive, entertaining stuff. (Music Connection Vol. XXIII, No.4 2/15/99 to 2/28/99) "Formaldehyde is probably the most fun song ever written on the subject of embalming a lover...these psychobilly monsters always succeed at producing creepy fun" New Time Los Angeles, Jan. 6-12, 2000. |
