Artist History
Three guys and a girl that make a rock powerhouse: when you listen to Spider Rockets, the music of Evanescence, Deftones and Audioslave may come to mind. Founded in the late 1990's, the band members hail from New Jersey and The San Francisco Bay Area.
The band’s newest EP, "Preview," is a promotional 4-song CD; the corresponding full-length CD will be released in late Fall 2003. Production is from Martin Bisi, who has previously worked with White Zombie, Helmet and Sonic Youth. Bisi also produced Spider Rockets’ last CD, "Flipped Off."
The band’s last CD, "Flipped Off," debuted in the top 20 on CMJ's Top Radio Adds Chart and received airplay on over 160 stations nationwide. One track from the CD was an Alternative Song Nominee for the 2001 Just Plain Folks Music Awards. Another song was a finalist in the 2001 Goodnight Kiss Song Contest. Recognition for previously recorded CDs came from Sennheiser's 2000 song contest. Also, in June 1999, Songwriter's Monthly selected Spider Rockets as a future charter winner in its monthly songwriting contest.
Spider Rockets continues to perform in the Northeast and has opened for a number of national acts including Slash from Guns n' Roses. The band has performed at many venues and festivals including CBGB in New York. Furthermore, through the band’s partnership with Jagermeister, free Jagermeister merchandise is given away at every Spider Rockets’ show.
