Artist History
The band started off with Ryan Breault, Phil Lafreniere and Dave St-Onge just goofing around with other people. Eventually it all got serious and they recruited Nathaniel Preston on guitar. They goofed around a bit more until finally getting Shawn Reid on vocals. Since then they've been writing their own original sounding music. They come from a town where metal isn't exactly mainstream and they're doing it all with a twist. Winning the battle of the bands in 1998 in both New Liskeard and Kirkland Lake gave the band a cult following around their area. Through the internet and such websites as mp3.com SlaveHead has since found a much larger audience and may someday get the recognition they deserve. They have however decided to take a break through the college years, in hopes of getting together once everyone has little pieces of paper that predetermine our future. |
