Artist description
Bound by a common passion for music, three young men started playing gigs
in March 1998. They recorded a demo cassette of seven songs in four hours,
and from there, continued to arrest the attention of the bustling
alternative rock scene in Singapore.
After many impressive gigs at pubs, colleges and other concert locations,
the band was signed to
Smack Records. Smack Records is an independent record label in Singapore
focussed on marketing and distributing homegrown music to the world via the
Internet.
Gerald, the band's lead singer and song writer, possesses a powerful and
passionate voice that can evoke joy and anguish. Backed by hard-hitting
Kamal (drummer), and the band's live-wire, Ivan (bassist), Sherene's Closet
is an exhilirating live act. This comes as no surprise as the band members
are great buddies off-stage. Producer Leonard Soosay was able to capture
the band's energy in their debut album, Kept Secrets. |
