Artist description
The band is best described by a summary of the content of the latest album. The songs on the first record, "Contempt" (which is sampled here), are about prison beatings, 19th century ditch diggers, public transportation in minor American cities, sleep deprivation, the drunk tank, gambling debts, shipwrecks, cigarettes, and the universal truth of rejection. It's basically me playing guitar, tin whistle, harmonica, and harmonizing with myself. Joe Lima came in and added some inspiring mandolin. The CD was masterfully engineered by Jeff Forrest down in El Cajon, California - he helped keep the whole thing interesting. |
