Artist description
Well, all the songs here could be considered the "best of" New Logic Theory. These files are the result of two years (plus one conceptual year) of diddling around with random sounds and splicing them against other random sounds. The results were sometimes melodic, sometimes nothing more than static. It was all a learning experience, however, and like all things, has come to an end. |

Artist History
Initially formed in 1997 and stabilized in 1998, NLT was an experimental band with ambitious ideas that nosedived into sound collages and breakbeat experimentations, and was going into a more lyrical punk phase when frontman Pat Burns disappeared in August 1999 to do some serious introspection. Pat's self-imposed exile from most things eventually ended, but by that time the members of NLT had moved on to greater things. Presently, Godel, Herbkersman, and Burns have regrouped to an extent to work on the Digital Fever Computer project (see below), while Godel provides assistance in finishing off the existing material in the Palecurve project (again, see below). Chris has been somewhat inaccessible, but is no doubt cooking up something on his own. All of us feel we've learned a lot from NLT, and several of the better NLT tracks are being heavily reworked for inclusion in Palecurve and/or Digital Fever Computer. |
