Artist History
Joe Phillips started out in the early seventies as a bass player for a garage band in Bloomington, Illinois. He developed his vocal interpretation as a Barbershop Quartet singer in high school. From there, Joe played with some of the hot local bands from Bloomington to Decatur. Even through his Air Force duty and college while earning his Masters Degree in Social Work, Joe played in local bands. Karen Polka began playing guitar in high school, performing mostly as accompaniment for the choir groups, and for the bus students. She played a lot for the Girl Scouts at their campfires and round ups. Her only gig with a band was with the Weekend Warriors, a local Belleville Illinois area band in 1998. Karen's first love is the computer and digital music. She does all the graphic design and promotion for the band. |
