Artist History
Heather Sullivan's first album, Mermaid Out Of Water, written in collaboration with Emmy award-winning producer Ron Alan Cohen, was the #1-selling album on the Artist Underground website for over a year. Her second album, Sturdy, was released in December of 1999, to rave reviews. Reviewing the album, Neale Donald Walsch, author of Conversation with God, said, “Heather’s music will touch the world!” Heather will be featured in the new CBS television series, That’s Life, singing “Don’t Compromise,” a song written by Lauren Wood and Ron Alan Cohen for her album, Sturdy. “Faithless Darling,” a song that she performed and wrote with Christopher Ward (Lion King, Tarzan) will be included on a soundtrack for the upcoming movie John John In The Sky, starring Randy Travis. “Angel” and the quirky anthem “A Little Peculiar,” also from Sturdy, were featured in the 1999 motion picture Special Delivery , starring Penny Marshall & Sean Young. Heather’s original music has been performed on Oprah Winfrey's OXYGEN Network, ABC, The Lifetime Channel and Fox Television. Her apocalyptic theme “Cold Day In July” and the evocative “Carpet Ride” have become favorites for fans of CBS Television’s Guiding Light. Recently she was spotlighted on Aaron Spelling’s Sunset Beach with “Way Back When,” a song she wrote for her father whom she credits with inspiring her to become a performer. On September of 1999, New York Times best-selling author Kathryn Lynn Davis released her latest novel on Pocket Books/Simon & Schuster. The popular author was so inspired by Heather’s “Somewhere Lies The Moon” that she titled the novel Somewhere Lies The Moon and used the lyrics to the song throughout the book. In April of 2000, Heather toured in Ireland, along with Kathryn Lynn Davis, in a cross-promotional tour for the book and Heather’s new CD, Sturdy. The tour included performances at the James Joyce Festival in Dublin and the Sullivan Upper School in Belfast, Northern Ireland with the U.S. Ambassador to Ireland, Michael Sullivan. In Los Angeles, Heather has performed at Dan Akroyd’s House of Blues, the legendary Troubadour, the Atlas Supper Club and Luna Park.
