Artist History Formed in Brasilia (capital of Brazil) in 1982 by members of the local rock comunity under the influence of early british punk rock. The band broke up in 1986 having recorded 2 tracks on compilation Rumores: "Luzes" & "Complexos", 1985 under tight budget constraints. Among the many bootlegs scattered among fans, 5 tracks (mp3 files posted in this site) recorded at EMI records in Rio represent the very finest work done by Escola de Escândalo. Hailed by country-wide fans as the best band that never landed a record deal. Some still don't understand why the band never made it to the commercial charts. However, Escola de Escândalo registerd on tape and vinyl over 10 of the most beloved alternative tunes in Brazilian rock history.
