Over the course of his career, Dzyan has developed his distinctive sound using alternate guitar tunings accentuated by highly syncopated, irregular jazz-type meters. His intricate and inventive rhythms, realized through an eclectic blend of ethnic percussion, form the foundation upon which the harmonic and melodic textures are overlaid with acoustic-electric guitar. In his landmark album, ILUDHRA, he has drawn from myriad international influences ranging from African and Middle Eastern to Celtic and Latin.
