Press Reviews
With cuts never breaking the four-minute barrier,
the band says what it has to say and moves on,
letting the song and its performance speak for
itself. Cleanlyproduced but not slick, edgy but
not obtuse, emotional but not cloying, Deacon
Brody has set an early high standard for local
bands' recordings this year, that few will be
able to achieve. -Hal Horowitz, 99x Express
"Sometimes a cd by an unknown band totally blows
you away. "Songs In The City Of Marigolds" falls
into this category. This band has got what it
takes to go all the way. An amazing vocalist,
excellent instrumentation and quality songwriting.
In fact impressive doesn't begin to describe this
band's new cd. The songs on this record should be
added to every decent rockplaylist in the country.
This band will sign major in the next few months.
Deacon Brody is a sure winner and the name of the
lucky label remains to be seen."
