Artist History
Boettler has been in the making since lead singer and songwriter Ben Boettler hopped the bus and headed west to LA in 1994 pursuing interests in music. He enrolled himself in college and found many of the students enjoying his emotionally powered vocals enhanced by his solid acoustic guitar playing at local coffee shops. Boettler continued playing folk-influenced acoustic shows until meeting drummer Lucas Baerg at a Sixpence None the Richer show through mutual friend, Jon Elliot of Pushstart Wagon. Two Years after dedicated practicing and playing local shows, Boettler was in the infamous Green Room Studio with producer Elliot Chenault (guitarist for Dakoda Motor Co., Pushstart Wagon, and Driver 8) and engineer Gene Eugene. Boettler pushed themselves musically in the studio making for a strong demo that would sound as good as any record with five times the budget. Elliot put the finishing touches on the band's solid studio performance with gorgeous guitar arrangements that emphasize how time has no boundaries on good music.Recently Jared Summerell(guitarist for Mary Said) and Caleb Baker have added the necessary touches to the live show enveloping the audience in a chorus of guitar parts. The band has since been frequenting the Hollywood club circuit turning heads wherever they play. |

Press Reviews
Factor-X: Boettler, a four-piece acoustic guitar-driven band, takes its namesake from leadsinger Boettler, who's vocals were very pleasant, and the music was good listening -Pat SchwarzHighwire Daze: A lot can be done with a good voice and an acousitc guitar--Boettler is living proof of that. Highly emotional vocals and effective guitar playing are showcased on the tape of...memorable songs. -Kenneth MortonIndependents: Boettler gives emotional moving vocals with a backing acoustic guitar for enhancement. -Jonathan D.
