Artist description
Beat Symphony lives on an alternate plane of existance to the rest of the world. In the Beat Symphony universe the year is 1900 - not 2000. Therefore, Beat Symphony uses Steam Powered synthesizers, hand built by Mr Zap, Beat Symphony's resident Alchemist, Scientist, Astronomer and Mathematician. Due to this, Beat Symphony operates OUTSIDE the normal rules of trends and styles, with their own UNIQUE blend of timeless styles and sounds. Mr Zap composes the music, which is then wire telegraphed half way across the globe (using a special form of morse code - morse-p-3) to New York City where Xavier Money, Beat Symphony's face, front man, poet and lyric wizard extraordinaire adds lyrics and vocal audiorecordings. |

Artist History
Xavier Money and Mr Zap (aka Håkan Andersson) met by chance on the global telegraph network known as the "internet". Having telegrammed for some time they decided to work together, despite the huge half-planetary distance between them. (Xavier adds "I can always use my Steam Powered baloon and fly over there any time!") ("Ah yes" Mr Zap counters, "and I have the Nautilus II, my great electric submarine!"). In early 1899 their first recordings where heard, and by now in 1900 they are even in the process of recording a "Music Video" (this is a technical term for a form of moving picture show with a phonograph in synchronization playing beside it) |

Group Members
XAVIER MONEY - Poet, Womanizer, Actor, Writer - the man who coined the term "Carpe Diem", the man for which the gas street lights increase their power in pure joy to illuminate..... and MR ZAP - Scientist, Alchemist - jack of many trades and master of them all - composer, conductor, licenced Steam Technichian, studier of ancient Tibetian scriptures and old scrolls. Probably owns the last tracable copy of "Necronomicon" known to exist. |
