Artist History
BACKGALLERY is the solo creation of J. Cochran after many years of indulgence into various styles of music. With the assistance of formerband mates, J. has managed to blend these forms into a well balanced listening experience. The name BACKGALLERY comes from a 19th centurysouthern slang meaning the back porch, usually off the kitchen. Most of these songs were written somewhere in the vicinity of a refrigerator.Minor success with bands such as "SQUALOR HOTEL" and "THE SCREAMIN'MIMI'S" was the motivation to pursue a solo venture. It allowed for morecontrol over the project and no one else to blame for the results. After a brief hiatus from playing live, the last band moniker was discovered stolen, another prime motivation behind deciding to get down, get serious and do it. |
