Artist description I am playing the silver and bamboo flute in collaboration with small ensembles with a meditative background. During the past years I have mainly been working with Harida as percussionist and santoor player at my performances and recordingsTogether we have composed many of our tunes, which appear on my CD's or on Harida's CD's. Depending on the style of tunes we then invited other friends to accompany us. My music is based on improvisation and deep relaxation and inner healing.

Artist History Yashu, a talented musician from Barcelona, Spain, has played flute professionally for over twenty years. She studied classical music with Salvador Gratacos, 1st flautist of the Ciutat de Barcelona Orchestra. In the early seventies, she started her professional career playing with Lluis Llach for three years. She played with Montllor and collaborated in several recordings and performances with other singers within the 'Canco' movement,like Maria del Mar Bonet and Ramon Muntaner. Between 1975 and 1983, she accompanied avant-garde musicians such as Mirasol Colores, Toti Soler,Ovidi Montllor and Jordi Sabates all around Europe. In 1978, Yashu travelled to India and met Osho, who changed her musical conception and she began composing meditative music, mixing O riental and Occidental styles.She played during satsangs and meditations and became head of the musicdepartment in Osho's Commune, in Pune. Since then she collaborated in many recordings with musicians from all over the world in the area of Meditation music and World Music. Her debut album, 'Intuition' was released in 1993, in India. In 1996, she recorded 'In Silence', at Nazca Music in Holland. Her latest album 'Oasis'was released in October, 1998. This album was just now, in July 2000, nominated as one of the five finalist for best meditation/healing album of 1999 during the 3rd NAV annual awards.o
