Artist History
Rising from the ashes of DC Oi! boys United 121 in the fall of '99, Spitfires United retained the following of its predecessor and gained a wider one by branching out from its original '80s UK punk sound and embracing everything from Bad Brains and Bob Marley to Motorhead and Black Sabbath. Fueled by copious quantities of Guinness, SFU are putting the rock back into punk rock and taking no prisoners while doing it. They have played with the likes of Bad Religion, Violent Society, the Business, Anti-Heros, and U.S. Bombs, each show garnering more and more followers for DC's primiere purveyors of premium streetpunk. 2002 saw the departure of Will and Jack from the band as they left to pursue other interests. Chris, Kent and Stilts regrouped and after suffering through a number of auditioning vocalists, brought local hero Timmy Satan and his brother Danny Boy Spitfire into the fold, throwing him in the pilot seat of this motley crew as it begins another assault upon unsuspecting punks everywhere.
