    Artist History
We've been around since summer of 1999, but didn't get serious until around summer/fall of 2000. All of us were in previous bands in Burbank (Nothing Special and Mass Confusion, including Jon), and once those didn't work out, we got together and formed 220. So for the first year we basically just played and messed around because our bands fell thru and we were all friends in the first place. We started playing around the area at such clubs in Hollywood as The Whiskey, The Coconut Teaszer, and The Roxy. We've also played our share backyard parties. In April of '00, we recorded, and independently put out, our first 5 song demo to the public entitled "Fifteen Minutes of Fame." Following that release, we headed back in the studio in October of '01 and recorded a much deeper EP which we titled "Breaking the Silence." We've gone thru a number of different sounds looking for the one that fit us best and feels right. Jon Whelehan is the newest member to the band, carrying a lot of metal influence behind him. He joined in August of '02 after some complications with the original guitarist Ian. With the missing piece of the puzzle intact, our 3rd trip to the studio will prove to be what we've been looking for. With 3 years of playing and getting to understand each other as musicians, it's time to show everyone what we're all about. We'll always be playing around and building ourselves as a band, for playing live is our strength. -*220*
