Artist History
Brainchild of long-time Boston-area drummer Larry Boyd (ex-Disarray), Das Ludicroix began as a loose collection of musicians who came together through Hawkwind's 1991 US tour. It has pretty much stayed that way, though over 22 musicians have passed through its ranks (such as they are) since then, in a highly laid-back game of musical chairs. But all are bonded in The Moment by a common passion for loud, fast, and heavy musical exploration. Ultra-low-budget recordings from live gigs made a splash on the English cassette label scene, and Das Ludicroix's profile has slowly grown, culminating in performances at the 1999 Strange Daze Festival (the premier US space-rock fest) -- and more gigs are coming! The future is bright, the future is space, the future is Das Ludicroix! |
