Press Reviews
Utopia mag:"After a long wait, this solo CD from ex-Neuropath lead guitarist Daniel Stubbs has finally arrived. The four tracks on this CD explore various avenues of music which were closed to him during his tenure with Neuropath, one of the better (if shortlived) brutal death metal bands in Australia. From the first track, with it's James Murphy-style leads and heavy riff-based rhythm, thru the Satriani-esque and laid back licks of second track to the epic closer, this EP is a slick affair, of surprisingly professional quality froma totally independent release. The highlight from the four tracks is the third, "Waiting For You", heart-rending acoustic piece that provides the perfect soundtrack to a sorrowful farewell or tearstained end to a relationship. Truly memorable, in an age when solo guitar efforts seldom are. |
