Artist History Dan Baines started playing guitar at eleven but his first songwriting was while at Robert Smyth School, where he played in the CAIRS concerts. The teeming crowds seemed pleased, so he bravely carried on through the elation and uncertainty of his teens and twenties."Accentuated Emotions" and "Shirt Lies on the Bed" were early compositions. Most of the other songs come from the ups and downs of two turbulent relationships.The albums "Keeper of My Heart" and "Killing Time" are on sale in Pendulum Records in Market Harborough, and wherever else the estimable Mr. Baines opens his weatherbeaten guitar case. For a first gig he charges £30 (up to 2 hours of musical fun) and plays half originals, half cover versions. His covers include Crowded House, The Who, Lloyd Cole and John Lennon.
