Artist description
The Desperado Band was formed by Tommy Lucas in 1977 in Odessa, Texas. The general theme of music varied with each gig. The band, being raised on the old traditional country changed their style in 1979 to the then popular 'Progressive Country.' Progressive Country encompassed the Texas sounds of Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings, David Allen Coe, Steve Fromholtz and other popular artists of that genre. This CD, put together in 1999, includes traditional country, general country, and new country sounds. You will be pleasantly surprised at the quality of the songs, all written by Tommy Lucas, and this CD will be a welcome addition to your collection. |
