Artist description The OttoBoys are: Vernie Wayne Otto & Donnie Marlo Otto. North Dakota, U.S.A. is where we were born and grew up. At age eighteen I moved to Minneapolis Minnesota. Then three years later, Vernie the younger, followed. We were strongly influenced by the music scene that was happening during the "70's". Eventualy we started our own bands and played a bit around the Mpls music scene. Only in the last few years did we decide to try our hand at creating our own music. So, rough around the edges as it may be, as song writer's, we are really just starting! So, hoping that some will find our music inspiring. Here we are as a 5 pc, sometimes 4 pc, Lead Guitar, Rhythm Guitar, Bass Guitar, Keyboards, Drums, and Wind Instuments on some material. All members are in their late fourties, and have known each other for twenty five plus years, and have played together in various bands through out the 80's and 90's. Now most recently, we've re-joined forces to create, hopefuly, striking and innovative original material! An interesting note: Lead, Rhythm, & Bass Guitar tracks are composed and recorded in Mishicot Wisconsin, where we now reside. Drums, Keyboards, and Wind Instrument tracks are composed and recorded 360 miles away in Mpls Mn. (on a home based PC Recording System) Then tracks are sent via the World Wide Web, back to Wisconsin to my PC, where they are sent direct to the Digital Recorder via the s/pdif digital port on the computers Aardvark Direct Pro 24/96 Digital Audio card, to the s/pdif digital port on the Roland VS-1680 16 Track 24 Bit Digital Recording Work-Station, and remixed into the music!! The Mpls Rhythm Pipeline is: Rick Stix Larson/Roland V-Drums, Ron Gilbertson/Wind Instruments, and Kevin Baker/Keyboards.

As a band, they're new, but having known each other and gigged together in other bands a long time ago, and now wish to pursue their own original material!
