Artist History
Rain Fell Within, based out of northern VA, formed in October 1996. After spending 1997 writing material and developing upon their symphonic style, they released a professional demo titled "Solemn Days." The demo received excellent responses worldwide. After many successful live performances, Rain fell Within released their debut CD "Believe" through Dark Symphonies in January of 2000. "Believe" has met with fantastic reviews and has established Rain Fell Within as one of the premier atmospheric metal bands in America. RFW has played all the major American metalfests, including the New England Hardcore and Metalfest, Metal Meltdown, and the Milwaukee Metalfest, where they performed in front of a packed room in the opening slot before Anathema. March 2002 will see the release of Rain Fell Within’s new CD 'Refuge' Dark Symphonies describes this release as: 'Refuge' weaves a sonic tapestry, rich in emotional textures and colors, providing shelter and comfort to all who would enter their musical sanctuary. Bombastic and symphonic, Rain Fell Within take their classically inspired compositions to new metallic heights as 'Refuge' soars with majestic power and passion. Ultimately, each listen becomes a cathartic and transforming experience. Rain Fell Within is certainly a musical force to be acknowledged in a scene pleading for musical evolution. |

Press Reviews
"Rarely is there a band that I do find some element of originality or unique expansion upon what the greats such as My Dying Bride, Theatre Of Tragedy, and Anathema invented before them. However, there is rarely a band that ranks as high as those aforementioned forefathers, and without blinking or feeling at all that I am abusing flattery, I can say that Rain Fell Within are sharing wine and supping with the greats.... This band is supremely gifted. Their music is upbeat, melancholic, intense and absolutely breathtaking. If this band continues in the direction they have started with, all other bands might as well quit if they seek to oust this band from where they will soon be reigning." Starvox.net |
