Artist History
Forming in September of 93 with Toni Landis on guitar, Jay Hamilton on bass, and Tim Sever on drums, PRODUCTION GREY immediately stormed the local scene with their own brand of aggressive metal...................... By May of 94 they had released two well received demos with two different frontmen. The first was 'Product of a Dark Society' and the second was 'Immortal.' Finally finding the perfect frontman, Jeremy Omo, in January of 95, PRODUCTION GREY jumped right back into playing out as often as possible, hitting everything from big club shows to small town parties, thus, keeping their strong following fully satisfied..................... In October of 95 they entered the studio to record their first full-length CD entitled 'Channel Your Aggressions.' With this release a much more aggressive style of metal was developing for them..................... In May of 96 they added a second guitarist, Shannon Martin, to add a thicker, more fuller sound. Then, Bob King, formerly of Laceration, assumed the second guitarist position in January of 2000..................... In June of 97 they entered Laud Production's Studio to record their second full-length CD entitled 'Defilement.' The release was put on hold when the photos for the cover where confiscated by the State Police of Michigan and Illinois, and then finally the photos were turned over to the FBI. After two months of investigation, the photos were returned and 'Defilement' was released in August of 97..................... To date, PRODUCTION GREY has performed at almost 300 shows, sold 1,500 copies of the 'Channel Your Aggressions' CD and over 1,900 copies of the 'Defilement' CD. Theyve played shows with over 300 bands and had lots of radio airplay. Many killer reviews and newspaper articles have been written on them..................... September of 1999, Dave Carmona, aka: 'Snoop,' was accepted as the new bass player..................... PRODUCTION GREY plans on shipping the 'Defilement' CD to labels of interest. They have returned to the studio to record their third full-length CD and everything is coming together nicely. They also plan on hitting the road for a mini tour through Iowa, Ohio, Indiana, and Illinois to add to the extensive list of Michigan dates..................... You may have seen PRODUCTION GREY warming up the stage for such touring bands as: FEAR FACTORY, CRADLE OF FILTH, SIX FEET UNDER, OVERKILL, CANNIBAL CORPSE, GOD DETHRONED, HATE ETERNAL, DIABOLIC, S.O.D., CROWBAR, SKINLAB, SATYRICON, ANGEL CORPSE, KRISIUN, SUFFOCATION, IMMOLATION, OPPRESSOR, DEEDS OF FLESH, GUTTED, ROTTING CHRIST, USURPER, DOPE, STATIC-X, MANOWAR. |
