Artist History A futuristic drummer, musician and composer. Chads professional career began in 1986 with singer songwriter Tommy Cash, brother of country music legend Johnny Cash. Chad was only fourteen years old at that time. In his spare time away from the road, he prepared himself for music studies yet to come. Chads educational studies were rather intense, for someone who was playing gigs and studying with a private teacher. Later, in his high school years he attended the Blair School Of Music. This was a pre-college study, in which he received a full scholarship. After finishing his pre-college study, he applied for another scholarship at the Berklee College of Music. He succeeded once again. After two years, Chad decided to leave Boston and to pursue his drumming career. In the early 90s Chad toured with blues guitar legend Lonnie Mack, performing various European and USA tours. After leaving the Lonnie Mack group, Chad decided to focus more on jazz and instrumental music. In the mid to late 90s Chad worked with a variety of artist such as Pat Coil, Denny Jiosa, Kirk Whalum, and Clay Davidson. After having years of road experience under his belt, Chad decided to stay home and focus on teaching and composing. He released his first solo album Beauty In Darkness in 2000. Chads drumming utilizes the sensitivity of jazz and the conviction of rock, with a great awareness of interplay. His approach is unpredictable and full of rhythmic intensity, with the intent of supporting the music around him.
