Artist History
The sounds of despair, insight, revelation and
undertones of anger shape the overall theme of
Era Nocturna's electronic assault on a listener's
mind. Based out of New York City, the 3 member band
began in the winter of 1999 under the name of
ViSix. By the end of November 2000, Daevina
(formerly Avalon ViSix), the project's central
member, opted to find a new moniker and take on a
more serious approach to her music. Daevina spent
close to 2 years writing and composing music for
a possible release as ViSix but then "canned" the
project feeling that there was no foreseen
direction she wanted take the music in.
After spending several months in Texas writing
and recording, Daevina found inspiration had
returned to her and she returned home to
Massachusetts. There she buckled down and
resurrected the dormant project and began
recording vocals to previously composed
instrumentals. The band's line up currently
consists of:
Daevina on vocals & programming.
Misery on bass.
Sevenmoonspells on drums/percussion. |
