Artist History
Tip the Milkman is a pop/punk band from Fort Collins, Colorado. Their music has been inspired by bands such as: Homegrown, Blink 182, and Goldfinger, but their music has evolved over the last three years into an original sound that is synonymous with the name Tip the Milkman. With their songs ranging from fast, upbeat tempos to melodic, emotional songs, fans of many different musical types can find a song to relate to.
The band started as a quartet in September of 1998 consisting of four friends from Fort Collins. They quickly began writing original songs and booking gigs at the local bars in town. Their popularity booming, they soon began performing at such venues as the Ogden, the Raven, and Cricket on the Hill in Denver. They have played with bands such as Tinker's Punishment, Carolyn's Mother, Out of Your Element, and Knee Jerk. They have gained a loyal following and a good reputation in both Fort Collins and the Denver area.
In the summer of 2001, Tip the Milkman booked their own tour, traveling to New Mexico, Arizona, and California. It was a huge success, and a great learning experience for them all.
Tip the Milkman has also recorded a 12-song, self-released CD entitled Lowered Expectations. The CD was recorded in Evergreen, Colorado at El Recordo Studios. It has sold many copies and gets regular airplay on the local radio stations.
Despite the minor set backs of twice recruiting a new guitarist and their original drummer moving to Singapore, Tip the Milkman is back on track. With Justin Greenhouse on lead guitar and vocals, Matt Grossman on bass guitar and vocals, Adam Kuchyt on guitar and vocals, and T.D. on drums, they have a great original sound that is not only energetic and powerful, but also complex and musically diverse.
Now with nearly 30 original songs and a highly energetic stage performance, Tip the Milkman is ready to take on the world by storm!
Rock on.
