    Artist History
The Bobs formed on Cinco De Mayo, 1996, as a practical joke. "Irish" Billy Briggs, and our good friends Chuck John and Ed Arnold decided to show up that Sunday night and play along with Bill O'Neal and Joe Kramer at their normally peaceful Sunday night acoustic gig. It sounded HORRIBLE at first. Unfortunately, the customers loved the sound. We have been playing together on a regular basis ever since that night. O'neal wanted to name the band The Pillage People, but Briggs got his way, since he owns the pub, and we became known as the Swinging Bobs. When Chuck John left the band in the Fall 1997, Ed Wilson replaced him for a brief time. Then along came Jody Bob and the resulting line-up remains to this date. One of these days, we intend to schedule a practice session. To date we've been winging it... Just about anyone can be a Bob. All you really need is the nerve to get up on stage and a pair of cheap sunglasses
