    Artist description
Reveling gleefully in overdriven guitars, over-indulgent wah pedals, and over-the-top swooshy noises, Scylding's heavy spacerock is on course to inner-space more than outer-space, leavened with a measure of traditional folk influence and the occasional medieval legend. And why not?
    Music Style
Guitar-driven spacerock from the past and future..
    Musical Influences
Saturn V rocket engines, stone circles, vats of hot fudge, the Northern Lights.
    Similar Artists
Hawkwind, The Levellers, DarXtar, Monster Magnet, Bedouin, Dark Sun, and probably some other people.
    Artist History
Scylding (we pronounce it "Shild-ing") was formed by Carl (with a little help from his friends) in order to demo some songs he had written. We haven't ever managed to mix the tracks (!), but several of them have been played on college radio stations. Hey, you gotta start somewhere!
    Group Members
Carl Anderson (guitar/bass), Larry Boyd (drums), Chris Anderson (synths/samples), Tania Ruiz (vocals).
    Instruments
Gibson LP Std, Rickenbacker 4001, drums, synths, voice.
    Albums
Er, none! Just these raw, vile-sounding, unmixed demos!

(Keir Fraser, Sometime President, Cambridge Rock Society) || "It is not as bad as you said it would be." (Captain Juba of Pseudo Sun, ex-darXtar) || "Cool stuff! Rock out! If you've got speakers on your computer head over and give this a listen." (Jerry Kranitz, editor, Aural Innovations magazine) || "The songs don't sound that bad .... will you be recording any more?" (Santtu Laakso of Dark S
