Artist description
Howdy! I'm not what you might call a "serious musician". In real life, I’m actually a social science teacher to-be, but occasionally I like to pick on my guitar and sing. Please note: I can’t really sing worth a lick and can’t pick guitar much better, but thanks to the magic of the internet, I am a published musician! Many thanks to Donnie Sorah for his assistance in recording these mp3s. More on the way as we find time to record and post them. |

Artist History
I grew up listening to what most everyone else of my generation did- Run D.M.C., Metallica, you name it. Somewhere along the line, I started listening to old time music like Bluegrass and Western Ballads. I still enjoy the music of my generation, but not nearly as much as I do old rustic American music. My parents "encouraged" me to join marching band which I didn't much care for, mainly because I had to play the trombone- a mixed up lot of brass tubing capable of making some of the worst sounds our species can take direct credit for. I began experimenting with lots of instruments and learned how to play a great deal of them, but none of them particularly well. Throughout all my musical adventures, I kept teaching myself more and more about guitar pickin'. I've given up hope on the other instruments and now concentrate on my guitar. I'm doing my best to figure out how to sing and stay on the right notes. That might take a while. |
