Artist History
Paul arrived on the Atlanta acoustic scene in 1994, and soon made an impact as part of the now defunct pop/rock act BirdLeather. His latest band, Paul Sforza and Release, has developed a strong local reputation for its energetic, funky vibe. The band was recommended as a Readers’ Choice in Creative Loafing’s “Best of Atlanta 2001” issue.
In November 2001, independent music Web site garageband.com featured Paul’s ‘Just Can’t Stay’ as a “Track of the Day” selection. The song is also currently ranked in the Top Ten at Broadjam.com based on listener feedback. Local reviewers have responded as well, citing a “clean and crisp vocal quality that is very hard to find” and a style that “draws you in instantly.”
A native New Yorker, Paul began playing the piano at age seven. Preferring basketball to Beethoven, he quit piano lessons as a teenager. However, he soon rediscovered his musical talent, teaching himself to play an acoustic guitar that had been gathering dust in his mother’s closet since shortly after Woodstock. Soon after, Paul wrote his first song and set his sights on a professional music career. Today, he writes and performs on both piano and guitar.
Paul continues to appear on the Atlanta scene both as a soloist and with his band. Lifelines promises to satisfy his ardent local fans and capture new audiences with its engaging mix of pop, rock, and soul. For more information, visit www.paulsforza.com.

Press Reviews
"Local songwriter/band leader Paul Sforza begins his debut album, Lifelines, with 'Over and Over,' an irresistible slice of piano-driven '70's AOR pop-soul... competent, confident songwriting... sophisticated adult pop worth hearing."
