Artist History Meet DOWN ART.A pop rock band with funk and jazz flavour which made their songs strong, natural yet catchy, various but always maintain their own style of taste and song oriented mode of play.Based in Surabaya - Indonesia, the band was founded in late 1997 when Ronny Litan ( guitar ), Gabriel Temmy ( bass guitar ), Reinaldo Bastedo ( keyboards ), & Sudjono Santoso ( drums ) brought Luluk Tirta as their vocalist and started to write their own songs.After completing several songs the band begun to show their songs to the local music audience through several gig and the response were good.On mid 1999 singer Luluk Tirta resigned from the band and replaced by Maria Veronica Priscilla on October 1999. She had released her own album as a solo artist before.After recording their debut independent album titled DOWN ART – The Mini Album on March 2000. On The Mini Album you will find songs ranging from beautifully balanced “We’ll See What We Could Find ( Together )” to catchy “Deep” to robotic feel of “These Are Love Story All About”.Not to mention a strong ballad “I Believe” and anger invested “Who Do You Think You Are”.On the poetic side all 5 songs from The Mini Album have different lyric, “These Are Love Story All About” tells about broken love inspired by a friend of Temmy, while “Deep” talks about how racism can infect even love, “Who Do You Think You Are” tells about scream of anger.What you got here isn’t just ordinary band with ordinary songs!
