Artist History
Brad first came on the scene in the late 70's when he joined the band "Scott Thomas Lowe and Atascadero" which featured the original drummer for "The Buffalo Springfield," Dewey Martin and later, Jim Fielder who had co-founded and been bass player of "Blood Sweat and Tears." Under the Nom de Plume, "Count Duke King," Brad also founded "C.D.K. and the Meltones," primarily a recording band. In the early '80's elements of the "Meltones" merged with remnants of "Benedict Arnold and the Traitors" to form "The Hundredth Monkey" which scored a college radio hit with Frost's "Marijuana" from the album, "Mute Lament" (Veracious Records, 1987). As a solo artist, Brad has played around the L.A. area, done cable television shows and recorded. In the mid '90's he co-founded "Medusa's Comb" and he is currently back in the studio with "The Hundredth Monkey." As are most of the other people who played in these groups, Brad is also a graphic artist and a writer. |
