Artist History Bill was born in a small town just outside of Cincinatti, Ohio called Middeltown. He became interested in the saxophone at a very early age, but did not acquire an instrument until his final year of military service. Bill worked hard to teach himself the fundamentals of the instrument and by the end of his tour, developed his sound. He decided to enroll at Berkley School of Music in Boston and spent a year there honing his skills.Economic pressures forced Bill to discontinue his studies at Berkley and he found work playing saxophone with local rhythm and blues groups. A tour with one of these groups, ( The Nine Lords ) ended in Los Angeles, California, and after the separation of the group, Bill decided to settle in L.A. . He enrolled at U.C.L.A. and eventually graduated with a degree in Music Education.
