Artist History A.B.L. (Assassins By Law) consists of A.N.G. (Ain't Nothing Greater) and M.O.E. (Money Over Everything). "The Kid" as he sometimes refers to call himself as, maybe just out of teen-hood at 20 years old but lyrically he's a monster. As he demonstrates why on the 1st single off the Dech'm Records Compilation "High Iq" where he lyrically decapitates the track giving no clue that he's in fact only 20 years old. Just like a thief in the night he entraps you in his world on the blazing joint "Guns Out" with the catchy hook: "I guns out / we coming for ya safe / cock back / niggas pointing guns at ya face / A.B.L. coats on like we the jake / might used to like me / hate me today" lets you know just how lyrically inclined this hired young gun is.They all know A.N.G. from Jay-Z, to Mr. Cee, to the late great Notorius B.I.G., he's spit with the best of them, opened for the best of them, mixed-taped with the best of them, and has even ghostwritten for some of them. Now finally on joints like "Lock and Load"-feat. CAUTION and on "Strictly for my...", it's no wonder why A.N.G. hailing from yes that borough again Bed-Stuy is poised for stardom.Although A.N.G. is a solo artist, he will team up with other label affiliates to bring to you the Dech'm Records Compilation and in his words: "I feel shit about to blow, I got a strong team to work with and I'm mad confident, and the beats is hot and that's all there is to it, it's my time...". Then after hearing "Aight! Now", and the Santanna sampled laced "Rags to Riches" where he quotes: "It ain't hard to spit at ya / two revolvers hit at ya / then ya ghost dog like Forrest Whittaker / as far as literature / I flows like I'm in a rage...". It seems like A.N.G. will have his time. Greater will appear on the compilations first single "High Iq" b/w "If You Want It" due out late January 2001.Money Over Everything was born and raised in the Bedford-Stuyvesant section of Brooklyn, NY and has that kind of killer instinct as he comes over the tracks appearing to be arrogant but at the same time just confident in his delivery and lyrical content. He laughs as he reflects back on his first MC name Master of Evil giving to him by A.N.G., says: he adopted the name Money Over Everything because that's how he felt at a certain point in his life and with his name already being Moe he said "why not Money Over". He has been rhyming since the early 90's and takes his craft very seriously.Maurice has been putting in a lot of work as of lately, the manchild on the mic can be heard roaring all over the upcoming Dech'm Records Compilation titled: "Affiliated" scheduled for release Fall 2003. Especially on the woman influenced "Call Me" where he opens with: "I greet chicks like / what's the deal whores / and M.O.E. wanna try that / and I don't buy cat / but it seems as though / yall bitches think it's sweet with M.O.E. / like sweet n' low / like motor homes / I sleep and go / dump a hole in ya / you free to go.." are just some of the slick lines this boy wonder has up his sleeves. Asides from the A.B.L. project in which a date for its' release has yet to be determined M.O.E. is currently in the studio constructing his freshman self-titled effort "Money Over Everything" to be released Summer 2004 on DECH'M RECORDS.With a name like A.N.G. aka Ain't Nothing Greater which in itself will be a great feat to uphold, this thirteen year vet rhyming since he was thirteen says: "it's all natural" when he lets his pen do the thinking, whether it's rhyming about what he's gone through, what he's seen, some of the things he wants to go through, with a beat, without a beat, beat box he proclaims "it's all natural".With the Dech'm Records Compilation coming to a close, A.N.G. will be busier than ever as he embarks on his long awaited solo career with the release of his first LP in Summer 2004. Then we will see if the name he was given by his comrade because of his ghetto delivery is in fact true????It's clearly that A.B.L. together for about a decade is ready to make its' mark on the industry in a big way. As we move more into the new millennium and the trend in the music scene shifts as it always does A.B.L. will have their day with a great debut LP, and if history always repeats itself like they say then this debut be one for the ages.
